Microsoft Misses The Point Again
Our family needed a new laptop.
It isn’t that I enjoyed paying nearly twice as much for a Mac versus a PC. It’s that I needed to pay twice as much to get a computer that just works, is very safe from evil do’ers, and comes pre-installed with software that, while not perfect, kicks the Hell out of the crap Microsoft and their partners provide out of the box.

F1 Changes Back
So, I read today that the powers that be over at F1 decided to not award their championship to the driver with the most wins after all. At least not this year.
I’ll watch the races and root for my favorite as always. But, I’m a golf fan. We don’t really care about who is best in a given year all together. Victory, week to week, takes care of that all by itself.

Nervous About F1 Rules
Most wins = champion has me a little nervous this year as F1 prepares to launch their 2009 season.
As an American I’m programmed to over-respect victory at any cost. I’m just not sure I’ll be comfortable with a champion if he wins 7 races but DNF’s in the remainder…

Um… no. Take it from someone who left Detroit to move to Florida back when Detroit wasn’t in a fraction of the mess they are in right now.
The homes are affordable because the market is depressed. If/when the Detroit economy ever recovers those homes will rise in price and those retirees on fixed incomes will get hosed on their property taxes.
